What’s a Halloween costume you wore as a child?
I wore a few. No matter what costume it was though, it always had the plastic face with cutout eyes and mouth, and cheaply made outfits to match (usually some sort of plastic too that tied around my clothes). 🙂
I remember being a fairy princess one year. Though we were poor, this one particular year my mom bought a little extra to go with my costume. I walked around thinking I was really a princess. 🙂 I had a glittery ‘magic wand’ with all kinds of colorful ribbons hanging off it. My mom also bought me pink plastic shoes with a ‘heel’ so I could feel all grown up. I must’ve been all of five or six. Yup, I was living large that particular Halloween; I made out pretty good in the candy department too, if I recall correctly. 🙂

Pretty much what you describe. Where I live it is very cold on Oct 31st, so costumes had to fit over our jackets and boots. When my son was young I took the time to sew a few costumes for him. Some of us would trade sizes so our kids could be many things without all the mommy effort. Bossman went from pumpkin, lion to finally superhero. I have pics he’ll probably want to destroy some day. 🙂

I don’t remember most of my costumes. I know I was a superhero a couple times.

Funnily enough, I was usually a witch. Not that that’s spilled over into my writing at all… 😉

That sounds like a cute costume. The two I remember clearest are a Pumpkin Patch and Pirate Garfield.

Lol Charles, the Pumpkin Patch one sounds adorable! How old were you? I liked Garfield, but Odie even better. 🙂

I think I was 5. Maybe younger since I remember not lasting long with trick or treating. Not sure how I wouod have done Odie. My neck’s too short. 😀
