This topic for Oct. 5 – 9 is:

Where would be the scariest place to spend Halloween?

There are several places that would totally creep me out if I had to spend Halloween at any of them.

I think the scariest place for me would be an old, abandoned castle (so Dracula-esque). If I had a few friends with me, I might be brave enough to do it. Probably. Maybe. Then again, maybe not, since I have difficulty at haunted hay-rides. Yeah, I said it; I’m a punk now. **Sighs**

Where would your scariest place be to spend Halloween? Feel free to list more than one.

The topic for May 25-29 is: Name a few things you like to eat while writing.

That’s easy – anything. Ha! No, seriously. There are a couple of things I must have when I’m writing:

First and foremost is coffee (I know it’s not food to most people, but it’s one of MY food groups). I recently switched to decaf though; I’m trying to ease up on my stress level. We’ll see if it works.

Second, I must have some snacks by my side . I’ve kept it healthy with either Yoplait Whips, or a Special K low-fat, high-fiber, soft-baked breakfast bar.

When I’m really on a roll and want to treat myself, I’ll cop to having a Reese’s peanut butter cup or two. They’re my favorite.  🙂

What do you snack on when you write? Any energy-boosting ideas you’d care to share?

Express Yourself – ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Hello bloggers! It’s time for Express Yourself, the weekly blog hop that posts different topics and updates monthly. I’ve been out of the loop for a bit, plus the meme was on brief hiatus in April for the A-Z Challenge (whew!).

What the girls would like to know for  the week of May 11-14 is: Now that we’re 1/3 of the way through 2015, what’ve I accomplished so far?

Actually, I’ve accomplished a lot. 🙂

  1. I participated and completed my very first A-Z Challenge this year.
  2. I entered a piece in this year’s WRiTE CLUB competition for the second year in a row.
  3. I’ve managed to keep up about 98% of the goals I’ve set for myself since the beginning of the year. Whatever I couldn’t accomplish or fell behind on was mostly due to illness or exhaustion.
  4. Been working on getting My Miracle Life blog to where I want it to be. It should be done by summer’s end.
  5. I completed this year’s round of physical therapy with flying colors!
  6. I’m becoming more socially involved and ‘getting out there’ so I’m not stuck home alone with Sophie all day.
  7. I’m working on a story that continues my WC piece.

What have you accomplished since the New Year began?

This week’s topic February 16-20, 2015 is: What’s your favorite kind of apocalyptic scenario? (natural disaster, zombie, alien invasion, etc.)

-submitted by Laura @ Writing off the Edge

Wow, like you’d really have to ask me what my favorite scenario would be?   🙂

Most people who know me know I love anything zombie related. My daughter got me into The Walking Dead; it sucked me right in, hook, line and sinker.

What about you? What’s your favorite apocalyptic scenario?

This week’s topic is:

Oct. 6, 2014-Oct. 10, 2014:

What’s the scariest movie or book you’ve ever watched or read!

Thinking about it, there are far too many scary books and movies that I’ve seen and read to be able to name off the top of my head. ‘Halloween’ terrified me when it first came out in theaters; the theme music alone still gets me to this day. I was fourteen. I’m sure by today’s standards it’s considered lame because there’s no real blood curdling violence in it. Anticipating what was going to happen is what made the movie so damn scary. That tops my list. The movie ‘It’ and based on the novel by Stephen King comes in a close second.

Stephen King or Dean Koontz wrote most of the scary books that I read when I was younger. I haven’t read them in a while because I’ve tried to expand my horizons by reading different genres, but Pet Semetary and Carrie are definitely up there. Even though it’s on the tip of my tongue, I can’t remember the name of the Dean Koontz novel I read more than once because it was just that good. I’ll post it the day I figure it out. LOL.

That’s about all I have for this week. I look forward to next week and will try my hardest to be on time with my post!! Hugs to Dani and Jackie for being such great friends!
