It’s time for another meeting of the Insecure Writers Support Group – #IWSG.

My hero, the amazing Ninja Captain Alex J. Cavanaugh founded this amazing group and it has become a safe haven for any and all insecure writers.

Click the image if you would like to be a part of this phenomenal group. You won’t regret it.

Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak.

The awesome co-hosts for the July 1 posting of the IWSG will be Charity Bradford, S.A. Larsen, AJ, Tamara Narayan, Allison Gammons, and Tanya Miranda!

I can’t believe the first half of 2015 has come and gone! It’s been an interesting and eventful six months for me. I’ve met and exceeded my goals for the first half of the year. I’m proud of that accomplishment. Although my blogging hasn’t been on a set schedule, I’ve managed to keep up the minimum three posts per month I set for myself.

I’ve been able to get more writing time in, which is a great thing. Editing some of my older stories has taken up some of my time. I’m getting back into content writing that’s been on the back burner for the better part of the year. My attempts at poetry have been meh, but I’m not giving up.

Me time has definitely been a good thing for me in my efforts to decompress and de-stress. I’m going to take it easy with my writing over the summer and enjoy some good times.

I do plan on increasing my social media presence though. I’ve been a bad girl in that department.

How have you made out the first half of 2015? What are your plans for the summer – increasing or decreasing your online presence? Until next month…

  1. Congrats Lily! I posted a second before, but I am not sure what happened to my comment. Basically, I think it’s great that you achieved your goals. WELL DONE! You do deserve a huge pat on the back. Much continued success for the remainder of the year!

    • Thanks Michael! My comments are usually moderated, but I’m still figuring out how to allow comments to go through without messing with the spam filter. Your visit is so appreciated! Have a great weekend. Hugs. Eva

  2. Good for you, Lily!!!!! That is awesome! You should be proud of yourself. Accomplishing one’s goals is so rewarding. Happy to hear 2015 is going well for you.

For me, the first six months have been chaotic. I’ve learned a great deal more about human nature and about how I handle let downs and disappointments. But I can honestly say I survived and that I am good. Life always hands us many unexpected surprises, good and bad. But it’s how we handle the bad, it’s from these situations we grow the most.

    • I certainly agree with you there, Michael. I’ve been trying to keep up with what you’ve been posting about your situation. We’re definitely survivors and I’m praying that you’ll have nothing but good surprises for the rest of 2015 – and beyond!
