Saturday Shenanigans

Good morning fellow bloggers. I’ve been up writing this post since about five o’clock this glorious Saturday morning (not including responding to comments and doing my blog hop checking)Β  πŸ™‚ . I started REALLY early because I will be involved in some shenanigans later today; after laundry and other household duties are done.

First, I’d like to thank everyone who took the time to either comment, direct message, email or tweet me before and after my last blog post. I love you guys! I’m doing what I need to do with the personal issues; it’s a slow process, but it’s going.Β  It is what it is.

On a fabulous note, after my neurologist visit a week and a half ago, I found out that I lost another ten pounds. In total, I’ve lost fifty pounds since I’ve had my surgery. While I was in NJ, two of my friends took me shopping for clothes, especially pants, because they couldn’t stand the way they looked on me anymore. I’ve gone from a 16 to a 10. My goal is an 8. Baby’s got some curves now!! πŸ˜€ Saturday shenanigans will probably include much-needed retail therapy!! Woo-hoo!!

I haven’t unpacked my bag yet, so I haven’t been able to go through the poems I wrote while I was away, but I’ll try to do a quick posting tonight. If not, then definitely tomorrow.

Until tonight my dears. . .

    • Thank you my dear Briana. πŸ˜€ Guess what Mama Lily got in the mail about two weeks ago? And I kid you not; a vacation guide for the great state of Texas. Lol. Is this a hint that I’m supposed to go on a trip of some sort when I am fully recovered to meet my adopted darling? I also got one for Vermont, but don’t know anyone there… hmmm.

    • That is kind of neat! Texas is nice, if you don’t mind lots of humidity and early morning fog. Vermont is supposed to be really pretty in the fall. I’ve only seen pictures, though.

(But Mama Lily, I live in Colorado! When are you going to come meet me?) πŸ™‚

    • Awww, I thought you were a Texas girl. I thought it was freaky when I got the packet. Never mind. It’s the memory thing. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it! Lol. I have things that I need to have taken care of first, but once they are, trust me I have a long list of vacation destinations on my bucket list! I will add Colorado to it! πŸ™‚ My neurologist says I shouldn’t have any problems flying. Hopefully, I won’t set off any alarms at the airports. πŸ™‚

    • No ma’am! I have to be in Colorado where I can see the mountains. LOL
And not to worry! I understand, of course! And that sounds like fun! And I’m sure no alarms will go off! πŸ˜‰

    • I gained sixty pounds after I quit smoking. My pics don’t show it. I was too embarrassed. I am trying to loose back down…and I started smoking again…now I am on Chantix and a diet.

    • I gained most of my weight while I was working EMS. There was no such thing as “lunch”. LOL. We ate what we could, when we could. After I had the bleed, I put on more weight because I was on streroids for a while. Once I was taken off, and just remained on the seizure and pain meds, I began to drop the weight. I’m still about 15 pounds short of my goal; so I guess we’ll keep motivating each other. The last 20 or so are always the hardest and take the longest.

    • I set a quit smoking goal date of July 8th….wasn’t able to stop. I only smoke outside. I have never smoked in the house. The weight, no….just taking it slow.

    • I stopped smoking for nine months after surgery. Stress caused me to start again. No where near what I used to smoke before, but I need to stop again also. Once I’m out of this situation I’m in, it’s the first thing I plan on doing. I smoke about three or four a day.
